The EuroIA Network Initiative aims to facilitate the development of a
stronger network between European Information Architects. An large
effort is already being made through international orginasitations such
as IAI, it’s European chapter and the local groups. The initiative wish
to contribute to this effort, pushing the objectives even further, among
other things, by the formation of a legal entity which can contain and
support a range of important activities to strengthen our industry and
it’s position in Europe.

Besides the challenges that all Information Architects meet, there are
certain challenges that is particular to the European Information
Architects. These challenges requires an European approach. This is part
of the “Roadmap” which was presented at the forth European IA summit, in
Amsterdam 2009. See slides here:

The initiative was originally joined by eight people; Judit Ponya (.hu),
Wolf Nöding (.de), Søren Muus (.dk), Filip Borloo (.be), Peter Bersma
(.nl), Andrea Resmini (.it), Sylvain Cottong (.lu) and Peter Bogaards
(.nl) - who are now conducting the ongoing processes, towards a set of
goals formulated in the roadmap.

Eight “Activity tracks” has been formed, inviting everyone to take part
of the work and to focus their efforts in the most relevant direction,
according to personal qualifications and interests.
